by Perry L. Angelo Twisting, Around for acres, Like a vine creeping about an old château. Losing yourself in the majesty of it all. The grass walls, Extending for miles, Holding you in... As confined As a butterfly's cocoon. If really your purpose in life Was defined By how many acres you bent, How difficult you were. And how complex Other's minds Would have to be In order to figure you out, Really, dull life would ensue... Time surely would pass, As slow as a snail. Centuries would come and go, And when your face has turned to stone, When you can barely speak, The walls will open their mouths and speak for you... The words you could never say... |
